Then, we believe that we have a great opportunity for you! We are currently looking for motivated students to join our EMEA Innovation Hub in Dublin, Ireland. We have expertise in machine learning, data analytics and automating and we are architecting, delivering and supporting smart software solutions around the world for Honeywell.
As an intern you will have opportunity to work within and across the different roles in the EMEA Innovation Hub. You will work with customers to understand problems that need analytics or AI/ML solutions to improve efficiencies, gather requirements for defining features and functions and work within our technology development teams to develop the best set of algorithms, and software architectures to implement those ideas, and learn about different aspects of software development. We ensure a wholesome learning experience over the summer by leveraging AI / ML to solve real world challenges like sustainability and net-zero commitments for our products.

The EMEA Innovation Hub is focused on delivering new capabilities and features into the Honeywell Forge product portfolio through research into advanced technologies in the areas of Internet of Things, Scalability, Resiliency and Self-Healing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and developing these into industry grade services and products that will be deployed globally into the mission critical areas of some of the world’s biggest brands.

Role overview:
  • You will be working in an international team with exposure to different areas of the business
  • Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end-users to define business requirements
  • Conduct research on software products and solutions to make quality recommendations
  • Participate in design sessions, and prototyping solutions using
  • Work on research projects using scientific methodologies and document progress and results

What we are looking for:
  • You are a student of master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science/Analytics, or a similar field of study.
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Willingness to learn and further your understanding in the areas of: Machine Learning and Deep Learning, Time series analytics, Building neural networks, Distributed computing, fault detection and self-healing, Internet of Things, Programming with Python
  • Open-minded, curious and creative
  • Passion for using, developing, analyzing, and learning about modern technologies
  • Foundational business acumen and desire to improve your business knowledge
  • While it is a fantastic opportunity to learn, it is essential that you already have a good knowledge of Python. It is also essential to have a solid understanding of modern operating systems and networking.
  • For the real highflyers, experience with implementing neural networks or knowledge of deep learning frameworks on Linux would be a big plus.
